Chuwit Farm (2019) Public Company Limited (CFARM) has launched two key agricultural initiatives to strengthen Thailand’s food security: a 200,000-layer hen farm and a dairy cattle farm. These projects aim to boost domestic fresh food production and meet consumers’ growing demand for safe, high-quality food.
At the Q1 2025 Opportunity Day for listed companies, Sirirak Khaochaimaha, Deputy Managing Director for Accounting & Finance and Mathucha Chuengthanasombut, Deputy Managing Director for Operations, presented the company’s strategy. They confirmed that on May 13, 2025, the board approved a THB 119.71 million investment to establish a layer hen farm in Buriram province.
Strategic investment in layer farming
The facility, which will house 200,000 hens in a caged layer system, will operate under a contract farming model, similar in structure to CFARM’s existing broiler business. Financed by a mix of internal working capital and external loans, the project is currently 5% complete and is expected to generate revenue by Q4 2025.
This investment supports long-term growth and adds value to CFARM’s business. The company expects a 7-8% profit margin, similar to its broiler operations. The layer hen industry remains crucial to Thai agriculture, with strong domestic demand and growing export opportunities, especially in Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, and Vietnam. CFARM is committed to becoming a future leader in this market.
Expanding into dairy
Meanwhile, the company’s dairy farm project is 20% complete. Land preparations are underway to ensure optimal conditions for high-quality milk production. CFARM’s plan includes sourcing over 1250 high-breed dairy cows, finalizing procurement by late Q3 2025, with the first batch of raw milk expected in Q1 2026. This initiative will establish CFARM’s fresh milk brand, strengthening the company’s market competitiveness and ensuring long-term business sustainability.
CFARM remains committed to executing these projects, with a focus on sustainable management. It aims to play a critical role in supporting Thailand’s long-term food security while building a resilient, value-driven agribusiness.
