Kasturi operates a fully integrated poultry business model encompassing every stage of the poultry value chain, including parent stock (PS), hatcheries, day-old chick production, broiler farming, and poultry processing. The company’s integrated approach ensures complete control over quality, traceability, biosecurity, and supply chain reliability, enabling it to consistently deliver superior products to wholesalers, franchise partners, retailers, and consumers.
Kasturi possesses extensive technical expertise in producing world-class broilers and has developed a strong network of contract farms, hatcheries, suppliers, and poultry professionals. The company currently has the capacity to produce approximately 1.25 million day-old chicks per week, supported by a comparable broiler production capacity. Its contract farming operations extend across Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka, allowing the company to efficiently serve diverse regional markets.
A new state-of-the-art, fully automated poultry processing plant
At the core of Kasturi’s corporate philosophy is an unwavering commitment to clean production systems, stringent biosecurity protocols, animal welfare, and consistent quality standards throughout the poultry production cycle. To further strengthen its position in the processed poultry segment, the company is commissioning a new state-of-the-art, fully automated poultry processing plant designed to meet international standards of food safety, hygiene, and operational efficiency.
Spread across a sprawling campus near Udumalpet, Tamil Nadu—one of India’s prominent poultry hubs—the new processing facility has been designed with modern infrastructure and advanced processing technology. The plant will have an initial processing capacity of 80,000 birds per day, operating at 6,000 birds per hour, with the capability to expand to 8,000 birds per hour in line with future market demand.
The facility will process premium-quality VenCobb broilers sourced from Kasturi’s network of contract farms located in Udumalpet, Palani, Dharapuram, and surrounding regions. To ensure the highest standards of product quality and food safety, the company will employ a team of highly qualified professionals, including veterinary doctors, food technologists, and quality assurance specialists, who will oversee every stage of production and processing.
Kasturi is preparing to launch its flagship processed poultry brand, which will offer consumers safe, wholesome, hygienically processed, and high-quality poultry products. The processing plant is expected to commence commercial operations by the end of the year, positioning the company to meet the rapidly growing demand for premium poultry products in domestic and international markets.
