Plans to establish a complete White Pekin Duck production chain in Cambodia are gaining momentum, with US poultry firm Maple Leaf Farms exploring major investment.
The initiative would cover every stage of production, from specialized breeding and farming to modern processing and distribution for both domestic and regional markets.

Kao Thach, CEO of the Agricultural and Rural Development Bank (ARDB), welcomed the plan and urged the company to accelerate feasibility studies and begin construction quickly.
He emphasized that the project would generate jobs, meet rising demand for duck meat, and strengthen Cambodia’s agro-industrial sector.
Mr Thach described the investment as vital for modernizing agriculture and diversifying the economy.
