At VIV Europe 2026, aviNews spoke with Hans Groot, Managing Director of Pluriton Group, about the company’s role in distributing H&N layer genetics and supporting egg producers across Europe and international markets.

During the interview, Hans shared the growth story of Pluriton, which has expanded from a small operation in the Netherlands into a multinational company supplying hatching eggs, day-old chicks, and rearing services to customers around the world. Today, the company operates across several European countries and exports to markets ranging from Mexico to South Korea.

The discussion explored how Pluriton adapts its genetic portfolio to meet the needs of different markets, offering solutions for white, brown, and specialty egg production systems. Hans also explained how changing regulations, evolving consumer preferences, and growing demand for alternative production systems are influencing the company’s expansion strategy.

In addition, he highlighted the key characteristics producers value most in H&N genetics, including predictability, ease of management, feather quality, feed efficiency, low mortality, and strong overall performance across different housing systems.
