Outlook: Imports likely to stay robust
With steady growth across multiple fronts and increasingly diversified supply sources, Vietnam’s chicken meat imports are expected to remain strong through H2 2025.
- Growing feed demand: Total animal feed demand in 2025 is forecast to reach 28.7 million tons, rising to 29.5 million tons in 2026, driven by the expanding poultry sector.
- Expanding poultry flock: By June 2025, Vietnam’s poultry flock had grown 4% year-on-year, with no major disease outbreaks reported, signaling resilience in domestic production.
- Projected market growth: Industry projections indicate that over the period 2025-2033, Vietnam’s poultry market will grow at a compound annual growth rate of 7.18%, driven by rising domestic demand, modernization, and government support.
