Hatching eggs pass through multiple stages before they are finally incubated at the hatchery. With OvoLogger™, Petersime provides hatcheries with a powerful tool to get visibility into the egg storage conditions and transport conditions from breeder farm through to hatchery.

By eliminating existing blind spots, OvoLogger™ enables hatchery managers to make data-driven decisions and optimize hatch success like never before.

HOW OVOLOGGER™ TRANSFORMS HATCHERY OPERATIONS
Hatching eggs need to be kept in optimal conditions, yet many hatcheries lack insight into pre-incubation egg conditions. OvoLogger™, Petersime’s intelligent egg data logger, makes it possible to automatically log from the first on-farm storage day onward:
Seamlessly integrated with Eagle Trax™, it enables hatchery managers to detect deviations and take proactive steps to improve results.
“Before using OvoLogger™, we had to rely on assumptions about egg conditions before they arrived at our hatchery. Now, we have precise data to finetune our processes” says Marian Foltyn, Hatchery Manager at Výkrm Třebíč (Agrofert, Czech Republic).
“We’ve been using OvoLogger™ for over six months now. It has significantly improved our operations and decision-making. By identifying potential issues early, we can improve hatch rates and ensure consistently high chick quality.”

He explains further: “OvoLogger™ allows us to perform batch-specific analysis to pinpoint what went wrong if a hatch rate is lower than expected.
…We can also set predefined thresholds for deviations: if values exceed those limits, we receive a warning and can adjust the incubation program before loading our setters. This approach not only prevents potential losses but also helps us collaborate better with breeder farms and logistics partners by addressing storage or transport issues early on.”
The broiler hatchery Výkrm Třebíč is located in the Czech Republic. This high-capacity hatchery was designed by Petersime, who also supplied the single-stage incubators, Re-Store incubators as well as the full HVAC system.
It was built in 2013 as part of the vertical integration strategy of Agrofert, the holding above Výkrm Třebíč, to control the entire production chain from hatching to slaughter. Výkrm Třebíč handles more than 70 million eggs per year.

FUTURE-PROOFING HATCHERY OPERATIONS
With OvoLogger™, hatcheries can take a proactive approach to optimizing incubation conditions and addressing risks before they impact results. By combining data acquisition with Eagle Trax™ data analyses, Petersime equips hatchery managers with powerful tools for continuous improvement.
