This new International Egg Foundation manual outlines fundamental guidance for emerging commercial egg producers managing egg production on medium sized layer farms (100-5000 layer birds) in tropical and subtropical regions.

This manual is not aimed at backyard egg production, although many principles within this document may apply. The information specifically covers commercial egg production and is not specific to poultry/meat/dual purpose production.

The International Egg Foundation was established in 2014 by the International Egg Commission (IEC) to work as an independent charitable foundation. The IEF’s ambition is to help implement the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and increase egg production and egg consumption in underdeveloped countries to provide undernourished infants, children and families with an independent, sustainable, high-quality protein supply.
