The Redox Potential (ORP) is an effective measure of measuring the oxidation-reduction chemical energy by means of an electrode, converting it into electrical energy. It is expressed in milli volts – mV.
The Redox Potential (ORP) is an effective way of measuring the oxidation-reduction chemical energy by means of an electrode, converting it into electrical energy. It is actually a measure of the activity of the electron compared to the activity of the reference electrode, which always keeps the potential constant. Temperature compensation is not necessary in the measurement of the Redox potential.
The redox potential is positive when oxidation occurs and negative when reduction occurs
