Poultry production in the Philippines reached 791,810 tons in Q2 2025, up 7% from the same period last year, the latest data from the Philippine Statistics Authority show. Driving the sector’s growth are the chicken and chicken egg subsectors.
Chicken dominates volume and value
Chicken led the sector’s expansion, accounting for 71.1% of total poultry output at 563,040 tons. This is up 8.2% from the previous year.
Egg production also increased 4.8% year-on-year, reaching 207,760 tons, and contributing 26.2% of total poultry volume.
Value-wise, the poultry sector stood at approximately USD 1.89 billion for the review period. This is up 8.5% from Q2 2024.
Chicken contributed USD 1.6 billion, while eggs added USD 288 million. These reflect increases of 6.5% and 16.1%, respectively, from the same quarter last year.
Farm prices show mixed movement
Farm price of chicken averaged USD 2.41/kg in Q2 2025, down 1.5% year-on-year.
On the other hand, chicken egg prices rose to USD 2.26/kg, up 10.8% from Q2 2024.
