Quality Poultry Breeders (QPB), based in Pakistan’s Islamabad, has reached a significant milestone with the arrival of its 60th placement of Arbor Acres grandparent stock—marking nearly three decades of working with Aviagen.
QPB began its journey with Arbor Acres in 1996 with the placement of their first flock of 5,000 grandparent breeders. Today, the company has grown into one of Pakistan’s most respected and trusted suppliers of high-quality parent stock, producing more than 3 million breeder chicks annually for integrations and hatcheries across the country.
Pakistan continues to present strong growth opportunities driven by:
These long-term fundamentals reinforce QPB’s commitment to strengthening Arbor Acres within the market.
QPB recently commissioned its fifth company-owned grandparent farm, further strengthening domestic supply of high-health, high-performance Arbor Acres parent stock.
During a recent visit to Aviagen’s Bangkok office, QPB founders Dr Mohammed Amjad (CEO), Dr Akram Sarosh (Managing Director) and Jahanzaib Amjad (Director of Operations) commemorated the signing of a new grandparent supply agreement between the two parties—reinforcing their shared commitment to the future of Pakistan’s poultry sector.
“Arbor Acres remains the breed of choice in Pakistan,” said Mr Amjad. “We are proud to build on our nearly 30-year relationship with Aviagen to ensure QPB continues supplying industry-leading parent stock chicks that deliver the performance and quality our market demands.”
Meanwhile, DeWet Nortje, Business Manager of Aviagen APAC, said: “The strength of the Arbor Acres stock comes from the focus on sustainability and welfare that our development team puts into every bird. We are pleased that this commitment, supported by our field teams of specialists and experts, continues to deliver added value to our clients in Pakistan.”
