Rising concerns over zoonotic transmission, trade losses, and food security have positioned vaccination as a critical component of animal health management across Asia, Europe, and the Americas.
Avian influenza, commonly known as bird flu, continues to threaten poultry populations worldwide, affecting both commercial farms and backyard systems.
To mitigate economic and public health risks, governments and producers are adopting preventive vaccination strategies alongside enhanced biosecurity measures.
Traditional inactivated virus vaccines remain the backbone of disease control programs, accounting for more than 60% of market share. However, next-generation recombinant and vector-based vaccines are gaining traction. These advanced formulations provide broad, cross-protective immunity and enable differentiation of infected from vaccinated animals (DIVA) strategies.
The growing frequency of highly pathogenic avian influenza (HPAI) outbreaks and the rise in industrial-scale poultry farming are further accelerating vaccine demand.
