Solutions for egg processing business

Solutions are available for egg producers in Asia to reduce manual labor, improve food safety, and increase profitability.

Egg processing normally is a thin-margin business, said Johan Kennis, Moba‘s Global Marketing Director, to aviNews Asia at the VIV Asia 2025 in Thailand.

As such, he continued, their company aims to provide solutions that reduce manual labor, improve food safety, and increase profitability.

One of their key innovations is the Vision Shell Inspector.

“This is a game-changer as this vision-based solution can detect the smallest cracks with reference setting accuracy. Resulting in more sealable eggs and less waste,” he said.

Advanced heating technology for pasteurization

Another innovation from the company is Ohmic, an advanced heating technology for pasteurization, designed to improve efficiency and product quality.

“Traditional heating systems have a relative short production time between cleaning intervals. Our new system heats from the inside, eliminating downtime and allowing longer continuous (up to 12-hours) production runs, while improving product quality,” Mr Kennis explained.

“This means better product properties, longer shelf life, and on top of that less handling and cleaning costs for companies like Malaysia’s QL Resources, which is why they chose Moba.”

During the VIV Asia 2025, Moba held a ceremony congratulating Malaysia’s QL Resources management on their new processing plant in Vietnam where they will also have the Ohmic technology.
