Stages of Registration and Authentication of Poultry Establishments in Saudi Arabia
All poultry production establishments and farms in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia are subject to monitoring and follow-up to implement the best international practices, including the application of animal production standards from Saudi Good Agricultural Practices (SAUDI GAP).

In the spirit of achieving competitive justice and raising the level of quality and transparency, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) has recently imposed the application of GAP standards on establishments exporting poultry products to the Kingdom, where all suppliers of products are obligated to obtain authentication for their establishments through one of the authentication companies approved by the Ministry.

The Stages of Registration and Authentication of Poultry Establishments
First: Submission of Application and Registration
The investor wishing to obtain the certificate shall submit an application through the (Naama) platform, as follows:
- Apply through the electronic services on the website through the designated icon
- Fill out the registration form and attach the required official documents
- Receive the application number
- Refer the application to the National Agricultural Services Company (AgriServ)
Second: Choosing an Authentication Company (AgriServ)
- The company's competent department provides the investor with a list of companies accredited for authentication in the country from which he wishes to import.
- The investor communicates with one of the accredited authentication companies to complete the authentication requirements.
- The company sends an email to the company accredited for authentication or provides the investor with a letter to the competent company to begin the authentication procedures.
Third: Inspection and Tracking Work (Authentication Company)
The accredited authentication company carries out the following:
- Collecting authentication fees from the investor (supplier).
- Conducting a visit and evaluation of the establishment (poultry production farm) according to the standards of good agricultural practices (poultry farm system).
- Providing technical support and guidance on the application of good agricultural practices for establishments that do not meet the standards.
- The authentication company can also draw samples of feed or any other samples and analyze them to ensure the safety and quality of the products according to the required standards.
- Preparing the necessary report and evaluation form for the establishment and submit it to the competent department at the National Agricultural Services Company (AgriServ).
- In the event that the establishment does not meet the specified standards, the request can be re-submitted after one month has passed since the last visit.
Fourth: Auditing and Authenticating the Establishment (AgriServ)
- The competent department at the National Agricultural Services Company (AgriServ) shall review the report, evaluation form, sample results, if any, and the authentication certificate, and verifies compliance with the specified standards.
- Accrediting the establishment as an establishment that has obtained a SAUDI GAP certificate.
- Sending the accreditation to the competent department at the Ministry (Good Agricultural Practices Unit).
Fifth: Clearance
The competent department in the Ministry shall ratify and deliver the accreditation certificate to the investor.

- The authentication certificate is renewed/issued annually.
