Texas Chicken celebrates 100th store in Malaysia
Texas Chicken’s expansion signals its commitment to quality, and a strong demand and steady growth in Malaysia’s poultry sector.
Texas Chicken has achieved a major milestone with the opening of its 100th store in Malaysia, located at Presint 14, Putrajaya. The international quick-service restaurant chain hosted a grand opening celebration and launched a nationwide promotion to thank Malaysians for their continued support.
The opening of this 100th store underscores Malaysia’s robust chicken consumption and production. As demand for affordable, high-protein meals continues to grow, this expansion reflects confidence in the supply chain confidence and the industry’s ability to scale sustainably.
Despite global inflation and feed cost pressures, poultry remains a cornerstone of Malaysia’s food economy, and quick-service chains like Texas Chicken are capitalizing on that momentum.
Expansion and legacy
Since debuting in Malaysia in January 2013 at Aeon Bukit Tinggi, Klang, Texas Chicken has quickly expanded its presence across the country. Today, the brand employs over 2000 Malaysians, with all locations managed by Envictus International Holdings Limited, ensuring consistent quality and service.
Known for its hand-battered, double-breaded Original and Spicy Chicken, freshly baked honey-butter biscuits, tender wraps, and home-style sides, the chain remains a favorite for its generous portions and great value. Its signature ‘8-piece cut’ ensures larger chicken pieces for a more satisfying meal. All outlets in Malaysia are Halal-certified by the Malaysian Islamic Development Board (Jakim).
A favorite in Malaysia
Texas Chicken’s consistency and commitment to quality has earned it six consecutive Putra Brand Awards, cementing its status as one of Malaysia’s favorite quick-service brands.
Looking forward, the company plans to expand further with at least 10 new restaurants in 2025, including its first location in Sabah by the year’s end. This expansion will bring its bold, legendary flavors to more Malaysians while creating additional career opportunities across the country.
