
The 3rd National Symposium of Vets in Poultry (VIP) was successfully organized on June 11 at Hotel Sheraton Grand, Bengaluru (Karnataka) with the theme ‘Future Ready Poultry: Managing Risks, Maximizing Resilience’.

This successfully conducted symposium brought together industry leaders, academicians, veterinarians, entrepreneurs, and poultry professionals from across the country to discuss the future roadmap for India’s poultry sector.
The symposium was graced by Arjun Devaiah Theethamada, South Asian Games Gold Medalist, nine-time National Athletic Champion, motivational speaker, and success coach, as the Chief Guest. His inspiring address emphasized the importance of resilience, leadership, and continuous self-improvement in achieving excellence.
The event was further enriched by the presence of Prof Dr P K Shukla, President of the Indian Poultry Science Association and former senior government and academic leader, as the Special Guest.
The keynote address was delivered by Prof Dr K C Veeranna, Vice-Chancellor, Karnataka Veterinary, Animal and Fisheries Sciences University, who shared valuable insights on the evolving opportunities and challenges facing the poultry sector.
The technical sessions covered critical aspects of the industry’s future:
Post lunch in the evening, a highly engaging panel discussion on ‘Future Ready Poultry – Survival to Scale’ explored the strategies for sustainable growth, risk management, innovation, workforce development, and enhancing competitiveness in an increasingly dynamic market environment.
The panellist included O P Singh, Valsan Parmeswaran, Dr Vishal Singh Rawat, T Srinithi, Dr Mahesh Subhash Patlapati, Ranpal Dhanda, Divya Kumar Gulati, Uday Singh Bayas, Dr Jeetendra Varma, Dr Meganathan, Dr Damodar Pattath, Dr Swati Karki, Naveen Pasuparthy. This nice session was well moderated by Dr P K Shukla and the concluding message was given by Dr Ajit Ranade.
The symposium concluded with felicitation of industry associations, media representatives and sponsors in recognition of their invaluable contributions to the advancement of the poultry sector and was followed by networking dinner.
The VIP national symposium reaffirmed vets and industry’s collective commitment to innovation, collaboration, biosecurity, sustainability and resilience as key pillars for shaping the next phase of growth for Indian poultry.
