De Heus has completed the acquisition of CJ Feed & Care, marking a major milestone in its long-term growth strategy. This step reinforces the company’s commitment to supporting farmers across Asia and strengthens its role in the region’s agricultural development.
The acquisition strengthens De Heus’ presence in Vietnam, Indonesia, and Cambodia, key markets within its existing portfolio. It also opens doors into two new strategically important markets: Korea and the Philippines.
In total, the transaction comprises 17 feedmills and numerous livestock operations across the region.
Stronger together
Real progress begins on the farm. By combining De Heus‘ century-long expertise with CJ Feed & Care’s strong local expertise, the two teams are better positioned to help farmers professionalize their operations, improve performance, and increase profitability.
De Heus values its longstanding relationships with farmers, distributors, and partners. The company remains committed to sharing its best products, services, and practices, while expressing gratitude for the support of national governments in advancing animal husbandry across Asia.
Connecting the value chain
To further empower farmers, De Heus actively connects partners across the animal protein value chain. Working closely with strategic partners, the company is increasing investments in swine and poultry GGP, GP, and PS farms across Asia.
By doing so, De Heus aims to improve productivity and efficiency levels for its customers while also increasing the overall competitiveness of the livestock industries in the markets where it is active.
This focus on genetics, combined with high-quality feed and veterinary support, helps farmers improve productivity and efficiency while strengthening the competitiveness of local livestock industries.
De Heus also supports farmers in selling their products to reliable slaughterhouses, processors, and traders. With new financial solutions developed alongside partner banks, the company continues to prioritize customer needs and build ecosystems that foster sustainable growth.
A shared vision for growth
“This acquisition marks an important milestone in our long-term strategy to strengthen our footprint in Asia,” said Gabor Fluit, CEO of De Heus Animal Nutrition.
“By combining CJ Feed & Care’s strong technical expertise and customer relationships with our century-long experience in animal nutrition and farm management, we can accelerate growth and deliver even more value to farmers across the region. Together, we are building a future in which farmers and their communities can thrive and contribute to a sustainable, resilient animal protein sector.”
