Japfa Food, a downstream business entity of Indonesia’s Japfa Comfeed Indonesia, recently exported Olagud-branded tender chicken breast, ready-to-eat chicken breast fillets, to Singapore in one 40-foot container.
This export is a strategic step by the company in expanding the international market and at the same time proving the ability of its downstream products to compete in the global market.
Healthy snacks high in protein
The tender chicken breast was designed to meet the needs of healthy snacks high in protein for people in Singapore.
This product has gone through a strict production process and complies with the food safety standards required by the Singapore government.
This product comes in six flavors, designed to meet the tastes of international consumers, namely:
- Himalayan Pink Salt,
- Herbs,
- Miso Shoyu,
- Peri-Peri,
- Smokey,
- and Hainanese.
“This variety of flavors was developed through in-depth research into consumer preferences in Singapore, which is the first export destination,” said Director Rachmat Indrajaya.
Supporting regional food security
Mr Indrajaya stated that the export is in line with the company’s commitment to supporting regional food security.
“This export is proof that Japfa’s food products can compete in the global market and meet strict quality and food safety standards. We are proud to be able to present quality products from Indonesia,” he said.
The success of this export is fully supported by the Ministry of Agriculture, especially by the Directorate General of Livestock and Animal Health.
All export products are accompanied by a veterinary health certificate officially issued by the veterinary authorities, as proof that the product has met the animal health requirements applicable in the destination country of export.
This first export of tender chicken breast is expected to be the start of subsequent shipments to various other countries.
