A Poultry Federation of India (PFI) delegation led by PFI President Ranpal Dhanda met with Haryana Education Minister Mahipal Dhanda to press the case for regulatory relief for the state’s poultry farmers, securing a follow-up meeting with the state’s top bureaucracy and commitments to act on a set of long-standing industry demands.
PFI credited the Education Minister’s proactive support for opening the door to a high-level meeting with Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi (IAS), Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Arun Kumar Gupta, Pollution Control Board Chairman Vinay Kumar, and Director of Animal Husbandry Dr Prem Singh.
There, the delegation made its case, pointing to Haryana’s vital contribution to India’s poultry industry and pressing a set of recommendations aimed at improving the ease of doing business for poultry farmers in the state.
The Chief Secretary responded positively, directing concerned departments to act on five fronts:
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Dhanda thanked the Education Minister and the Chief Secretary for what he called a positive and constructive approach, arguing that the initiatives would reduce unnecessary regulatory hurdles, improve the ease of doing business, encourage investment, create employment opportunities, and further strengthen Haryana’s poultry sector.
PFI, he said, looks forward to working closely with the Haryana government to translate the commitments into meaningful reforms that benefit poultry farmers and contribute to the sustainable growth of one of the state’s most important agricultural sectors.
“Together, we are building a stronger, more progressive, and farmer-friendly poultry industry,” Mr Dhanda said.
The PFI delegation comprised Ranpal Dhanda, Ravinder Sandhu, Rahul Khatri, Azad Rathi, Satish Garg, Dr Manoj Kumar, Dilbag Sandhil, Satbir Lakra, Dr Rakesh Gupta, Dr Deepak Singh, Subhash Narwal, Rajesh, Lakhmi, Dharmbhir Lather, Jagdish Kadyan, and Rithik.
