Aviagen appoints Clara Goldman as Global Director of Export, Logistics & Trade Compliance

A career built across animal welfare, quality and trade

Ms Goldman brings more than a decade of experience in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and cross-functional leadership within Aviagen.

Her background includes close collaboration with the USDA Live Animal Import/Export division and the National Poultry Improvement Plan (NPIP), supporting compartmentalization programs and protecting export eligibility in complex trade environments.

Most recently, she served as Global Welfare and Compliance Auditor for Aviagen Group, strengthening adherence to global animal welfare standards and enhancing audit systems across US operations.

Previously, as Director of Quality Assurance and Regulatory for Aviagen Inc, she led a multi-state team overseeing compliance activities across four complexes, coordinating USDA programs, and providing executive leadership with regulatory and risk updates.

Earlier in her career, Ms Goldman held progressive roles in quality assurance and regulatory management, gaining hands-on operational experience from farm through hatchery.

During a US avian influenza outbreak, she also supported customer communication in Indonesia, helping maintain continuity under challenging trade conditions.

Ms Goldman holds a Bachelor of Science in Poultry Science Production from Auburn University and is a PAACO Certified Auditor and ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor.
