An executive of Brazil’s Fujikura Quail Genetics revealed that the company aims to develop quail farming in Vietnam and across Asia.
Representatives of Granja Fujikura, a high-tech agricultural farm in Brazil that is part of Japan’s Granja Fujikura network, recently met with Vietnam’s Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh during a working session in Brazil.
The working session was part of Mr Chinh’s trip to Brazil for the expanded BRICS Summit and bilateral activities.
William Shuhei Fujikura, Director of Fujikura Quail Genetics, said the company has surveyed the Vietnamese market in 2025 and plans to partner with Trong Khoi One-Member Co Ltd to develop quail farming in Vietnam and across Asia.
He expressed hope that the Vietnamese government and localities will support its large-scale, high-tech agriculture plans.
Mr Chinh congratulated Granja Fujikura on its global success and was appreciative of its cooperation with Trong Khoi, a top Vietnamese quail egg exporter. He called on more Brazilian businesses, including Granja Fujikura, to invest in Vietnam and take advantage of strong bilateral ties.

Vietnamese government’s commitment
Vietnam is targeting USD 100 billion in agroforestry-aquatic exports in the near future, said Mr Chinh.
To that end, the Vietnamese government is committed to dealing with legal, policy, land and human resource constraints, while supporting the expansion of domestic and foreign agricultural enterprises.
Mr Chinh highlighted Vietnam’s potential as a dynamic Asean market with a large population and rising middle class and urged Granja Fujikura to enhance partnerships with Vietnamese firms to better serve regional markets and introduce Vietnamese agricultural goods to Brazil and beyond.
He also requested the group’s assistance in market development, technology transfer and product marketing.
He instructed Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and Vietnam’s Ministry of Finance to coordinate with other agencies and localities to facilitate Granja Fujikura’s investment activities in Vietnam.
