Vietnam’s Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has proposed significant reductions in several veterinary-related fees, particularly in the poultry sector, aiming to ease business difficulties, support production, and promote the use of online public services.
Notably, the animal quarantine fee (clinical inspection for poultry) is proposed to be reduced by 50%, as stipulated in Circular No. 101/2020/TT-BTC.
The fee for issuing certificates of animal quarantine, terrestrial animal products, imported aquatic products, and procedures involving transit or temporary import for re-export is also set to be halved.

In addition, the fee for issuing veterinary practice certificates—a mandatory requirement for many individuals and organizations operating in the poultry sector—will also be reduced by 50%.

Proposed 20-50% cut in agriculture and environment fees
In response to a request from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment has proposed a range of fee and charge reductions for the second half of 2025 to support general business and production activities.
Plant variety protection fees: Proposed reduction of 20-30%, depending on the validity period, under Circular No. 207/2016/TT-BTC.
Appraisal fees for water resource exploitation projects and reports: Proposed 20% reduction under Circular No. 01/2022/TT-BTC.
The Ministry is directly collecting five types of charges and 38 types of fees under its management in the fields of agriculture and environment.
