2025 PSA Annual Meeting: A Premier Gathering for Poultry Professionals
AviNews, committed as always to international poultry events, will attend the 2025 Poultry Science Association (PSA) Annual Meeting from July 14 to 17 at the Raleigh Convention Center in Raleigh, North Carolina. This highly anticipated event will bring together nearly 1,200 poultry scientists, researchers, students, and industry professionals from across the globe, including participants from the U.S., Canada, Mexico, Brazil, and beyond.
A Rich Scientific Program
This year’s meeting will feature over 600 scientific presentations and 15 symposia, offering attendees a comprehensive look at the latest research and developments in poultry science. Topics will span a wide range of disciplines, including nutrition, welfare, genetics, microbiology, and food safety.
The symposia are designed to address both current challenges and emerging technologies in the poultry industry. Highlights include:
Honoring Scientific Excellence
A special symposium will honor Dr. Julia Dibner, a pioneering figure in poultry science, known for her work in early nutrition, gut health, and cellular metabolism. Her legacy continues to influence the field and inspire new generations of researchers.
Student and Industry Engagement
The PSA Annual Meeting is not just about research—it’s also a hub for networking and professional development. Students can participate in dedicated workshops, “lunch and learn” sessions, and career-building events. The meeting also includes social gatherings such as the annual PSA BBQ and banquet, fostering connections between academia and industry.
A key highlight will be a roundtable discussion featuring leaders from major poultry organizations, including the National Chicken Council, National Turkey Federation, U.S. Poultry & Egg Association, and the United Egg Producers. This session aims to bridge the gap between research and real-world application.
