Shandong Yisheng invests in high-tech broiler hatchery

Reflecting the company’s strong focus on sustainable innovation, the facility has been built with energy efficiency and long-term operational resilience in mind.

Shandong Yisheng, a China’s leading name in the high-level breeding farm and hatchery business, is raising the bar for quality, scale and digitalization with its newest hatchery project in Shandong province, the country’s primary poultry-producing.

The company has a clear goal: delivering high-quality, uniform chicks while enabling data-driven production. To achieve this, the company turned to Petersime.

Shandong Yisheng is well acquainted with large-scale hatchery projects. With 12 hatcheries and experience in working with different suppliers, the company has gained valuable insights. Among these, Petersime has consistently stood out, delivering exceptional chick quality and reliable service.

This proven track record, combined with Petersime’s commitment to innovation, lifelong support and leadership in hatchery digitalization, made the decision clear: for the new broiler hatchery in Zhucheng city, Petersime was the obvious choice.

Cutting-edge hatchery technology

The project is considered one of the largest built with Petersime technology worldwide.

At its heart lies an array of 72 X-Streamer 24S setters and 48 X-Streamer 8H hatchers, ensuring consistent, high-quality hatch results.

To guarantee optimal climate control, Petersime developed a tailor-made HVAC system for the setter and hatcher rooms. The custom-built solution ensures optimal room conditions, further supporting chick quality and biosecurity standards at every level.

The hatchery is also in the process of adopting selected modules of Eagle Trax, Petersime’s cloud-based intelligent hatchery software. This upgrade will provide powerful tools for predictive incubator maintenance and real-time monitoring and analysis of the HVAC system’s performance.

Smooth execution thanks to close collaboration

Despite the project’s scale, execution went smoothly and on schedule. From the earliest stages of delivery to the final commissioning, Petersime’s field service engineers worked side by side with all parties on site. Their hands-on presence ensured that the installation ran smoothly and according to plan, with rapid responses to any technical or operational question along the way.

In the final phase, Petersime’s Global Technical Supervisor, Lubomir Ludik, personally joined the commissioning process. His on-site involvement added an extra layer of expertise and assurance, particularly during the final validation, staff training and handover.

Excellent and stable performance

“Petersime’s machines offer excellent and stable performance. We see it every day in our strong hatch results and high-quality chicks. The Eagle Trax software has truly changed how we manage the hatchery: we have better control, better traceability and better efficiency. We also appreciated the close cooperation during installation. The Petersime team was always there, supporting us like a true partner,” said Jianguo Du, Hatchery Director of Shandong Yisheng.

For Shandong Yisheng, the future of hatchery management is clear: digital and transparent. With Petersime’s equipment, software and long-term support, the company is well positioned to meet rising market demands and drive sustainable growth.
