Thailand’s agri-food giant Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) has been named as the Asia Pacific’s Best Company 2025 in the food & beverage industry. The recognition comes from Time Magazine in collaboration with market research firm Statista.
CPF was selected from a group of 500 top companies across the region. The award reflects CPF’s vision to become the ‘Kitchen of the World’ through the Sustainovation concept. This approach integrates innovation and technology in food production to deliver global food security while maintaining social and environmental consciousness.
The ranking was based on employee engagement. CPF was commended for its comprehensive care for employees including physical and mental well-being, opportunities for skill development, career growth, and building a strong organizational culture. The assessment also considered performance excellence and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors.
Through a survey of over 50,000 employees across the Asia Pacific region, using internationally credible and neutral questionnaires, CPF received outstanding scores in employee engagement. This stems from a genuine intention to promote personnel participation at all levels, with recognition that employees are the crucial foundation for driving success and sustainable growth.
“The company is proud to be recognized as one of the best companies in the Asia Pacific region. This award demonstrates the success of CPF’s continuous dedication to personnel development, including building skills to cope with rapid business world changes, promoting quality of life, ensuring equality, fair treatment, non-discrimination, and valuing diversity. These are the foundations for creating truly beneficial work for both the organization and society, cultivated through the 6 Core Values ‘CPF Way’ to forge a strong and efficient work culture,” said Pimonrat Reephattanavijitkul, Chief People Officer of CPF.
To continuously improve employee quality of life, CPF conducts satisfaction and engagement surveys with leading consulting firms. These surveys give employees the opportunity to express their opinions freely. The results are analyzed and used to develop targeted projects that meet the needs of the organization, functional units and employees.
CPF also promotes relationship-building through internal activities such as sports days and employee home visits to enhance employee engagement. It supports 19 employee clubs organized around common interests, including sports, arts, volunteer, Happy Family, and LGBTQ+ clubs.
To foster equality, CPF offers equitable benefits. These include equal rights to marriage leave, gender reassignment surgery leave, and other policies that encourage respect for diversity. The company views human rights as the true foundation of sustainability and works to build an inclusive organizational culture.
In 2025, 97% of employees participated in the organizational engagement survey. The results far exceeded the global average, underscoring CPF’s success in fostering an organizational culture where employees feel engaged, valued, and proud to contribute. This aligns with Charoen Pokphand Group‘s three-benefit philosophy, which balances considerations for the country, people, and organization.
