Charoen Pokphand Foods (CPF) has expanded its value-added food business through a strategic partnership with Japan’s NH Foods Ltd. The joint venture, CPF NH Foods Co Ltd, has officially launched operations and unveiled the premium processed pork brand CP Nippon.
The move reinforces Thailand’s position as a high-quality food production hub for Asia. It also supports growth in the country’s processed pork and poultry industries, targeting both regional and global markets.
The collaboration follows the establishment of the joint venture in late 2025. A new ready-to-eat food manufacturing facility in Muang district, Chachoengsao province, will serve as the production base for CP Nippon products.
The plant will supply premium processed pork to domestic consumers and export destinations including Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other Asian markets.
CPF contributes integrated food production, high-quality raw material sourcing, and regional distribution networks. NH Foods adds advanced processing technologies and expertise in Japanese-style premium meat products. Together, they aim to elevate Thailand’s processed food industry.
Rising demand for safe, convenient, and high-quality food continues to drive growth in pork and poultry sectors. The partnership positions Thailand to meet these evolving consumer needs.

Chatpraorn Niyom, Governor of Chachoengsao Province, presided over the opening ceremony. She said the facility highlights Thailand’s potential as a world-class food manufacturing base and strengthens Chachoengsao’s role in premium food production.
She noted that the project integrates safe Thai raw materials with Japanese technology, creating economic value, jobs, and sustainable income for local communities.
CPF CEO Prasit Boondoungprasert said the launch marks a significant step in upgrading Thailand’s processed meat industry. He emphasized the shift from raw materials to premium ready-to-eat products that enhance export competitiveness.
“These products not only meet the needs of modern consumers, but also strengthen Thailand’s export competitiveness and reinforce the country’s position as a regional food production and export hub,” he said.
Mr Prasit added that the partnership also reflects the future direction of Thailand’s broader protein industry, including processed poultry, where the country already holds strong global capabilities.
Fumio Maeda, President and CEO of NH Foods Ltd., said the production launch marks a key milestone in the companies’ long-standing partnership.
“The collaboration combines the strengths of Thailand and Japan to deliver premium food experiences that blend Japanese culinary craftsmanship with Thailand’s high-quality food production capabilities for consumers across Asia and worldwide,” he remarked.
The CPF NH Foods plant uses advanced manufacturing technologies, international quality control systems, and full traceability standards. These measures underscore both companies’ commitment to food safety, sustainability, and innovation.
Products under the CP Nippon brand will focus on premium ready-to-eat pork products inspired by the Japanese ryōrinin philosophy, reflecting culinary precision. CPF’s expertise in food safety and integrated production ensures consistency and reliability.
CPF NH Foods commits to sustainability through efficient resource use, environmental responsibility, and ongoing improvements in production standards.
The initiative aligns with CPF’s ‘Kitchen of the World’ vision and strengthens Thailand-Japan cooperation. It marks Thailand’s transition from a raw material base to a leading hub for value-added food innovation and premium protein products.
