Avicultores Colombianos llamados a cumplir con bioseguridad aviar
El ICA efectúa un llamado a certificar obligatoriamente a todas las granjas avícolas que no han cumplido con los requisitos de bioseguridad e infraestructura aviar.
El Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario, ICA, realiza un llamado, a través de un comunicado, a todos los productores avícolas de este país que posean más de 200 aves en etapa productiva, a que cumplan con los requisitos sanitarios, certifiquen sus granjas con bioseguridad aviar y, de esta manera, cuiden su inversión económica y eviten sanciones.
El subgerente de Protección Animal del ICA, Juan Andrés Angulo Mosquera, manifestó “En el Instituto hemos encontrado que todavía faltan muchas granjas avícolas que no han cumplido con los requisitos de bioseguridad e infraestructura aviar, establecidos en las resoluciones 3650, 3651 y 3652 de 2014. Invitamos a los productores a dar cumplimiento de inmediato a estos requisitos y a solicitar ante la gerencia seccional u oficina local del ICA más cercana a su predio, la visita de auditoría para certificar sus granjas”.
En la publicación se establece que los requerimientos que se deben cumplir obligatoriamente por las granjas avícolas están relacionados con el cumplimiento de los requisitos mínimos de infraestructura, bioseguridad, vacunación, procedimientos operativos estandarizados, manejo adecuado de mortalidad y excretas, y un plan sanitario integral en las aves.
Es más, se indica que los plazos para certificar las granjas avícolas como bioseguras se encuentran vencidos desde el mes de noviembre de 2015. Por lo tanto, los productores podrán recibir multas de carácter económico y el Instituto Colombiano Agropecuario, ICA, podría solicitar a las autoridades municipales cerrar las granjas por reincidencia en el incumplimiento de la normativa.
Asimismo, se reitera que, con este llamado, el ICA busca evitar sanciones para los productores avícolas y, así como, pérdidas económicas y el ingreso de agentes patógenos a las granjas por el incumplimiento de las medidas de bioseguridad. Además, la entidad recuerda a los avicultores que la sanidad pecuaria es un compromiso de todos, de esta forma se tendrá un campo con equidad, legalidad y emprendimiento.
